Please read group description before posting! Found poetry is poetry created from a selection of text discovered in a non-poetry source that the reader/poet transforms into a poem, by a different placement of the words on the page, or by altering the word order, or some other change.
Here is the definition from Wikipedia.org: found poetry is created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them as poetry by making changes in spacing and/or lines (and consequently meaning), or by altering the text by additions and/or deletions. The resulting poem can be defined as either treated: changed in a profound and systematic manner; or untreated: virtually unchanged from the order, syntax and meaning of the original. If you are interested in posting a found poem, remember always to credit the original writer and publication on the same page as your found poem. Group Stats
